Legal Assistant

BOYCE LAW FIRM, LLP, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is growing and looking for qualified people to help build our team. If you have the experience and are interested in working for Boyce Law Firm as a Legal Assistant, we are interested in hearing from you!

Legal Assistant position is to provide administrative support to multiple attorneys, including:

  • Managing calendars and case deadlines
  • Scheduling client appointments & court appearances
  • Effectively communicating with clients, colleagues, and partners
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Processing and filing mail
  • Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate
  • Preparing and organizing documents for execution by clients

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word & Adobe primarily) and ability to work with legal technology, court-filing computer systems, transcription software, etc.
  • Proficiency in English and grammar
  • Outstanding time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people
  • High school diploma

Preferred Skills

  • Legal secretary/paralegal certification or diploma, or college degree
  • Proven experience as legal secretary/paralegal
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations, and court system
